NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program

The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program funds U.S.-citizen students in or entering research-focused Master’s or Ph.D. programs in NSF supported fields. Fellowships pay $34,000 per year plus a $12,000 cost-of-education allowance over three years (usable in a five-year fellowship period).

In 2019, the Office of Fellowships is starting a push to encourage more graduating seniors to apply for the NSF-GRFP. We will offer an introductory session focusing on applying for the NSF-GRFP as an undergraduate and a final workshop the week before the national deadline. Please see this handout for additional information.

Here is a PDF of the Fall 2019 "Intro to the NSF-GRFP for Undergraduates" presentation.

National deadlines in late October.

For more information see the national website.
